Radiohead lyrics

Radiohead band
Pablo Honey lyrics
Pablo Honey is the first Radiohead album and it's best known for Creep single. Although representing a style from which the band would later move, songs like the aforementioned Creep, Anyone Can Play Guitar, Thinking About You and You were popular.
The Bends lyrics
Rolling Stone - "...THE BENDS is a sonically ambitious album that offers no easy hits. It's a guitar field day, blending acoustic strumming with twitches of fuzzy tremolo and eruptions of amplified paranoia..."
OK Computer lyrics
Arguably Radiohead's most significant breakthrough work, OK Computer was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1998 in the category of Best Alternative Music Performance which it won later that year. Radiohead introduces uncommon musical elements, experimenting with ambience and noise to create a set of songs that many consider to be a high point of late-twentieth century rock music.
Kid A lyrics
Radiohead experimental album that features electronic soundscapes, polyrhythms, and obscure instruments. No singles were released from Kid A. The lyrics are profound and are more like a part of the music than lyrics in themselves.
Amnesiac lyrics
"It's about the things you forget. And remembering...if you look at the artwork for Kid A, well that's the fire from afar. Amnesiac is the sound of what it feels like to be standing in the fire."
"Something traumatic is happening in Kid A, and this is looking back at it, trying to piece together what has happened. Go back and listen to Kid A after listening to Amnesiac, and I think you'll hear it."
Hail To The Thief lyrics
Not just the controversial anti-Bush album. "If the motivation for naming our album had been based solely on the U.S. election, I'd find that to be pretty shallow.", said Thom Yorke.
Radiohead B-sides lyrics
B-sides and rarities. Sometimes better than the A-sides.

Radiohead - OK Computer

Top Radiohead lyrics.

A cracked polystyrene man who just crumbles and burns

Immerse your soul in love

Everything I touch turns to stone

Clothes are all alone with the furniture

I live in a town where you can't smell a thing

I keep forgetting the smell of the warm summer air

We are standing on the edge

Modern times reflected by Radiohead lyrics.

Lead singer Thom Yorke recently confirmed that Radiohead has been in the studio recording the follow-up to 2003's Hail to the Thief. It's going well. It's a bit like Kid A, the usually restrained Yorke told NME.com, comparing the current studio sessions with those for the band's 2000 release. We're going through a period of change. But that's good. We'll get there. Songs confirmed to appear on the new album include Reckoner, Glass Flowers, House of Cards, and Arpeggi. You can read the lyrics of two of the new songs: House of Cards, Arpeggi.

Radiohead turned down an offer to appear at the London edition of Live 8 due to other commitments. The Live 8 concerts, that took place on July 2nd in Berlin, London, Paris, Philadelphia, and Rome, aimed to put pressure on the leaders of the G8 nations, the world's most economically powerful countries, to cancel third world debt, increase aid and implement fair trade.

Radiohead were voted the 5th Best Live Band of All Time in The Carling Music Survey. U2 topped the list and were followed by Queen, Oasis, the Rolling Stones. Carling spokesman Martin Coyle said: "Rock clearly wins out in the Best Live Band of All-Time category which is mostly made up of great British bands like Queen, Radiohead and Coldplay." The survey of 5,000 people nationwide was Commissioned by Carling to celebrate Britain's live music scene.

Thom Yorke is campaigning for Friends of the Earth's The Big Ask - a crusade for a new law to force the government to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 3% each year. "Climate change is indisputable and we have to do something dramatic," he says. "There is no way climate change will be dealt with unless it's structural - as a law. We can't address the issue of climate change on a voluntary basis." Thom has admitted he's been suffering panic attacks and writers block because of his fears over global warming.
